You're Showing Your Roots

Colossians 2:6
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”
Encouragement
It you’re a woman and you choose to present yourself as one with a different hair color, then you have no doubt said or have been told when you're showing your true colors. The phrase may be used, “You're showing your roots.” I certainly do not have that to worry about, but if we translate this from the physical to the spiritual, I’m just as likely at times to show my roots.
Apply God’s Word
What if those roots were actually our best colors? Our verse in Colossians 2:6 tells us to be rooted and built up in Him. That means when our roots are in Him we are showing Him. This is the goal for every believer. To make Him known and seen everywhere we go. John the Baptist said it when he said, I must decrease so that Christ can increase. So it's best when we show our roots, as long as they reveal His true colors of love.
Come into His Presence
Father, today we need Your guidance to become and remain rooted in You. Help us to show Your colors to the world. Help us to decrease so that You can increase. In Jesus Name I pray, amen.
