July 15 Edify Devotional

Today’s Devotional Theme
Show Me Your Glory

Daily Scripture
Ephesians 1:15
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

Encouragement
Since the beginning of human history, God has desired to show Himself to His children. It has always been the limited ability for His creation to understand the Creator. However true that is today, He is still showing us more and more as we grow in our relationship with Him. In Exodus 33:18 It was Moses who said, "Now show me your glory." Moses was like all who know and have seen the smallest parts of God. After we have tasted of His presence and who He is we are left to want to know and see more. His personality, His thoughts, His countenance, everything about Him is desired by those that want to know Him and want to know Him better.

Take Action!
You and I have been invited into this relationship not just to be a part of something we know nothing of. We are invited to meet Him face to face, as Moses desired to know the Lord and to see His face. We, too, need that longing to get closer and get a clear picture of His countenance. Are you hungering for more knowledge of God, more encounters with God? If you are there, then don’t stop your search for more. Don’t allow yourself to become complacent. Press into His presence.

Come into His Presence
Father, You have shown us only glimpses of Your Glory. We are hungry for what we have tasted but that seems only to have wet our appetite for more. More of You, God, that’s what we are crying for today. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
