1 Corinthians 2:7
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”
Encouragement
Since the beginning of human history, God has desired to show Himself to His children. It has always been the limited ability for His creation to understand the Creator. However true that is today, He is still showing us more and more as we grow in our relationship with Him. In Exodus 33:18 it was Moses who said, "Now show me your glory." Moses was like all who know and have seen the smallest parts of God to see more and to know more. His personality, His thoughts, His countenance, everything about Him is desired by those that want to know Him better.
Apply God’s Word
Jeremiah 9:23-24 says, Thus says the Lord: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord.” Did you happen to catch the part in verse 24? If there is anything to marvel at, it’s the fact that He knows me. God is not disillusioned with what He sees in me, even at my worst. Even at my worst He wants to experience a friendship with me.
Come into His Presence
Father, help us to see the love You have for us today. You are continually after us to know us, help us to see this and begin a lifelong pursuit of You. Help us to know how You desire to know us even when we have failed You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
