Hunger And Thirst

Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
Encouragement
Are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Is Jesus all you want? Is He all that I want? In these days of pre-revival and upcoming-Great Awakening, these are the questions we MUST as ourselves. Are you hungry for more of Jesus and less of yourself? Let me get personal here. The Lord has been leading me into a season of refinement, refreshing, and refocusing. These seasons are not always easy because their not meant to be. There are things that must be pruned or lopped off (John 15). There are areas of complacency that must be pushed to places of discomfort. Am I truly hungry for more of God?
Take Action!
Brother and Sister in Jesus, let us be hungry for HIS righteousness today. Let us remember that the word “blessed” here really means HAPPY! Yes, we are HAPPY when we hunger and thirst after God. And guess what? Out of the season of hunger and thirst comes a refreshing meal on the table, a fresh drink of living water from the Well called Jesus! So friends, join me in a movement of spiritual hunger; crying out for revival while being willing to come to healthy places of repentance, humility, and pruning.
Come into His Presence
Father, You have it all together and I just don’t! You are faithful, good, righteous, and enduring. Today, I choose to pull up a chair to Your table to eat and be refreshed. Speak to me today as we sit together. I love You Father. In Jesus' name. Amen.
